The Beacon Circle

The Beacon Circle is our organization’s way of honoring the extraordinary generosity of supporters who wish to leave all or a portion of their assets to The Caring Place to be used in perpetuity to enhance the quality of life for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.

These gifts can come in a variety of ways:

  • Gifts of Cash
  • Appreciated Securities
  • Gift Annuities
  • Life Insurance Policies
  • Bequests in Will or Trust
  • Retirement Plan Assets
  • Charitable Lead Trusts
  • Charitable Remainder Trusts

Planned giving donors have provided essential philanthropic support that has enabled The Caring Place to ensure a better tomorrow for victims of violence, their families, and our communities. The Beacon Circle was established to recognize these visionary individuals today.

Considering placing The Caring Place in your long-term estate plans?

  • Your gift will also contribute to The Porter County Community Foundation’s planned giving circle, The Echo Society. (embed link http://portercountyfoundation.org/echo.html)
  • Your gift will enhance the quality of life for victims of violence and their children in our local communities.
  • You can remain actively involved in suggesting uses for your gift by opening a Donor Advised Fund.
  • Your gift will ensure the continued success of The Caring Place and its impact on educating the community on the long-term effects of domestic violence.
  • Gifts to the endowment fund are not spent—rather, they are invested in perpetuity, and only a portion of the investment income is used to fund The Caring Place programs each year.
  • Members of The Beacon Circle are invited to a special annual recognition event honoring those who have included The Caring Place in their long-term estate plans.

Let your light shine forever by becoming a member of the Beacon Circle. Please contact Mary Beth Schultz in the Development Office at 219.464.0840 ext. 101.
