Joanne Urschel

Joanne Urschel, President Joanne is a native of Valparaiso. Her degrees are a B.A. from Valparaiso University, M.A. from Roosevelt University and Ph. D. from Indiana State University. Her degrees are in psychology. Joanne's doctorate internship was at Danville Veteran Administration Hospital in Danville, Illinois. She was a mental health counselor at Valparaiso University. Joanne taught psychology and gender studies at Purdue University North Central and Indiana University North West.

Joanne serves as President of the Board of The Caring Place. She is a member of Impact Porter County serving as Chair of the Grant Committee. Joanne also donates time to Prevent Child Abuse Porter County. She recently became a volunteer curator at the Porter County Museum (The Old Jail Museum).

Joanne spends her time gardening, reading, traveling, chasing her two dachshunds and visiting her grandchildren.
