My Kitchen to Yours by Lila Cohen

Before former board member and long-time friend of The Caring Place, Lila Cohen, left us at the age of 96 years old in 2021, her daughter made sure to provide us with a second order of cookbooks to continue funding our vital mission. Lila's cookbooks make wonderful gifts and you can purchase them at the Ella Jayms Boutique at 260 Franklin Street in downtown Valparaiso.

All proceeds benefit The Caring Place.

Our President & CEO Denise Koebcke was honored to participate in this discussion with Don Spears and Chris Kostbade to spread DV awareness during the month of October. They talk about risk factors for domestic violence, red flags, resources, and what to do to start a conversation with someone you suspect is a victim of domestic violence. They also talk about parenting strategies for--boys and girls--to lessen the risks of domestic violence occurring in future generations. Let’s Keep Talking, NWI!
